The new look Poolside Bar is almost finished and we hope that it will be open fully this weekend.

Above, our cook Shelly models the interior. This gives you an idea of the colour scheme that Paul and Lynne Taylor intend to have in the bar.

As you can see, the idea is to have a much lighter, brighter bar with all the walls opened right up.

The bathrooms too are nearing completion and will be a tremendous up-grade. The Loo's have been made bigger and the Ladies and Gents are now properly separated. The finish too is of a much higher quality and we think you will be pleased.

The Poolside Bar is open for drinks and snacks via the Kitchen window/counter.

We are getting there!

It's been a while since we saw Ray devour a big steak so here we go!

Ray Karlsen, our In-House Team Manager, really does enjoy his meat. One of our favourite restaurants is "Era Las Mozas" in the town of 'Valle San Lorenzo'. They specialise in all types of barbecued meat but their signature dish is the 'Chuleton' which is the T-bone from an Ox.

And to be honest, they don't last long when Ray is around!

Bon Provecho!

As we mentioned a short while ago, Mick Wilkin and Stacey Lightfoot have left the Olympus Poolside Bar for pastures new. We wish them all the best for the future and we will let you know where their next venue is.

The Poolside Bar is undergoing a complete re-vamp. Despite the major works, we are currently staying open during the day and providing a poolside service via the kitchen window.

You will not recognise the bar when you next visit. The outside 'conservatory' is going/has gone, the walls have been opened right up and the colour scheme completely changed. The bathrooms have been totally up-graded and the whole place is now beginning to look as it should!

These photo's give you an idea of the on-going alterations.

We are pleased to announce that Paul and Lynn Taylor of the famous 'Taylors Lounge Group' based in Los Cristianos will be running the Poolside Bar as of the end of March.

Paul Taylor (pictured above) is originally from Leeds. Originally a builder and property developer, Paul now has a number of interests in Tenerife including 'Taylors Lounge'. He is bringing this brand to the Olympus Poolside Bar.

Much work has already been done and we are hoping to open in the middle of this week. The bar will cater for all sporting events but will cater for all tastes and we are sure that you will love it.

Above you can see Ray and Dawn of the In-House Team outside the bar which is still open to give all a bar service during the day.

But don't worry, here is lifeguard Ricardo keeping an eye on things!

Every week, our 'Animation' team of kate and Gabby take owners on a free trip to 'Tenerife Pearl'. This fabulously enormous pearl display centre is a Tenerife favourite. The journey takes about 15 minutes and is a great change of scenery.

Pictured above under the Pearl Tree are (left to right) Jean and yvonne from Keighley, Gabby Rhodes, Pam and Mick, who are thoroughly enjoying themselves.

The trip takes place on Wednesday's with a free bus leaving at 11.30 from Club Olympus. Kate and Gabby accompany the trip.

Numbers are not limited but please have a word with Kate or Gabby to book your place!

We are sad to say goodbye to Mick and Stacey from the Poolside Bar. They are moving on to pastures new and we want to say goodbye and thank you.

They have been a part of what we do over the last few years and have made many friends. They will be leaving us on Friday (16th March) and we wish them all the best for the future and we will let you all know where their next venture is when it is confirmed.

In the meantime we are making some serious alterations to the Poolside bar. We hope to keep it open on a limited basis but it will take a couple of weeks for alterations to be done and for the new people to come in.

To give you an idea, we have been totally re-vamping the bathroom area.

It has been noisy and messy but the end result will be worth it.

The whole bar is undergoing a total overhaul. We ask for your patience while we do this work. We will keep a bar service going and hopefully everything will be ok in the next few days.

We will introduce the new management team shortly. Having said that, we say goodbye to Mick and Stacey and we know that they will do well wherever they go.
