We are sorry to inform you of the sad loss of Hedley Rhodes last week. On the 31st of May, Hedley passed away suddenly but peacefully surrounded by his family at Bradford Royal Infimary.
Hedley Rhodes was the Developer and Founder of Club Olympus along with his business partner Mike Green.
He began his business life as a golf professional then became a wool merchant before moving into home improvement, property development, timeshare and then property in general.
His sons Ivan, Tony and Peter, along with daughter Jodie continue to run the family business.
As you can imagine, we are all shocked and devastated by the loss of a vibrant, caring, family orientated man who always put other people first.
His business ethic, based on his experience of Bradford woolmen was always one of honesty first. He always said that "if you do a dodgy deal, it will come back and bite you, so don't do it in the first place. You might not make as much money in the short term but you will always have a good, steady, reputable business". We feel that he has done that.
He loved the timeshare and holiday business, he thoroughly enjoyed seeing people having a great time at his resort. Hedley was always comfortable to be sat in the Olympus Poolside bar talking to his owners and guests who rapidly became friends.
We are still unable to grasp fully that he has gone but we know that you will join us in missing him greatly.
We will up-date you on events as soon as we can.
All the best to you all, our friends.
From everyone at Club Olympus in Garden City.
